Expedited Mediation

Expedited Mediations

3-hour, flat-fee sessions for straightforward civil disputes

Gillette Mediation offers an expedited mediation option designed for cases that need a prompt, efficient path to resolution without a full-day commitment.

This track is ideal when counsel on both sides are ready to engage in settlement discussions and want a focused, time-bounded session.

Who This Option Is For

The Expedited Mediation option is best suited for:

  • Single-plaintiff, single-defendant cases

  • Straightforward civil disputes (including but not limited to employment, contract, and general civil matters)

  • Matters where the primary goal is to test settlement ranges, narrow issues, or memorialize an agreement that is already taking shape

If your case is complex, multi-party, or involves substantial discovery disputes, a half-day or full-day mediation may be more appropriate. We’re happy to discuss which format is the best fit.

Key Terms of the Expedited Option

  • Session length: Up to 3 hours, with a firm end time

  • Fee: $500 per party, flat fee

  • Payment: Prepaid at the time of booking (via online payment)

  • Cancellation: No cancellation fee

  • Format: Virtual (video) - In-person not available

  • Availability: Can be booked a minimum of 2 days from today and up to 30 days in advance

This option is designed to be predictable, efficient, and easy for busy attorneys to slot into their calendars.

How Expedited Mediation Works

  1. Select a Time Slot
Use the scheduling tool below to choose an available 3-hour Expedited Mediation block. Only dates within the next 2–30 days will appear.

  2. Enter Case and Contact Details
Provide basic information about the case, counsel on each side, and the preferred format (virtual or in-person, if available).

  3. Prepay the Fee
Each party pays $500 at the time of booking through the secure online checkout. Payment confirms the reserved time.

  4. Coordinate Briefing (Optional / Light)
For these expedited sessions, written submissions are optional and should be concise if provided. Short letters or term sheets are welcome; extensive briefing is not required.

  5. Attend the Session
At the scheduled time, counsel (and parties, if participating) join via the provided virtual link or arrive at the agreed location. We’ll move quickly into structured settlement discussions with an emphasis on efficient use of the three-hour window.

What to Expect from the Session

The Expedited Mediation is designed to:

  • Focus quickly on key liability and damages issues

  • Explore realistic settlement ranges

  • Identify whether resolution is achievable within the three-hour session

  • Document agreements reached, or clarify next steps if the matter does not settle that day

If the case would benefit from additional time, counsel can discuss converting to a longer mediation format or scheduling a follow-up session.
